“Neighborhoods” Family and Visitor Guidelines

We encourage family and friends to visit patients and residents at HealthSource Saginaw. Your love and support is a key part of the healing process. Here are a few items to consider prior to visiting any of our neighborhoods:

  • You are encouraged to become involved with your family member and his/her plan of care. Each patient or resident’s therapy schedule is posted daily at the nurse’s station. Periodic observations are allowed, and family training is provided before discharge. However, purely social visits should be avoided during therapy time.
  • Before bringing food or beverages into the hospital, speak with the nurse to make sure it is appropriate based on the plan of care.
  • Please follow all HealthSource posted guidance during your visit.

Behavioral Medicine Center

Due to the nature of the services we provide in the Behavioral Medicine Center, visitors should announce their arrival via telephone upon entering the building, and wait for a staff member to greet and escort them into the treatment area.

In consideration of our patients, we ask you to limit visitors to two at a time. Visitors under 12 years old are not permitted on the unit without a specific order from a psychiatrist. Please sign the visitor’s log and be prepared to provide the personal identification number (PIN) for the patient you are visiting.

Please follow all HealthSource posted guidance during your visit.
